The earliest sheets of the 1" First Edition the OLD SERIES of England were published in 1805.Publication progressed Northward and the first sheets of Scotland were in 1856.
Many of these sheets have obviously been used in the field for walking and mountaineering. They are mounted in sections and, though some " sections" have broken loose, all are present and the mapping is complete. Covers vary from Johnston ( Agent) to nondescript card.
The "Condition" is relevant to their age and I suggest you ask for details about any map which might interest you.

The OS was reluctant to publish 1/2" maps but eventually recognised the popularity
of Bartholomew's maps at this scale.
34 sheets were published for Scotland 1908-10 - in two forms to show heights -
1. Hill Shading (HS) 2. Layer Colours (LC).
The maps listed are also in two covers - 1. a Utility form where the front cover is printed on the back of the map (Ut) and 2. with standard OS cover (S)
These abbreviations are used in the list below. A general G - VG+ is given per map.
